We would like to introduced to you Maybe At Dawn Couple Dan + Shannon. These newlyweds just so happen to be part of my extended family, if I had to describe their love I would say it is playful, sincere and deeply committed. Shannon is the most organised bride I have ever worked with, everything was fun loving and enjoyable because nothing was a rush - huge upside to being organised.
This wedding was full of fun and celebration, there was a surprise wedding shoe game with Shannon and Dan luckily getting most of the questions right! Guests laughed the whole way through as they learnt that Shan said I love you first but it is Dan that spends the most money!
Shannon's family is Irish, there were so many beautiful nods to Ireland and its culture. Shannon even dusted off her dancing shoes and joined her younger cousins in a traditional Irish dancing for Dan and all the guests.
Family is so important to both Shannon and Dan which really shows, we wish them all the love as they enjoy married life and creating a family of their own.
How and when did you meet?
Dan and I met at a mutual friends 21st birthday in August 2015. We started dating in September and were engagement September 2018 at Bradley’s Head.
Tell us all about your recent wedding?
Our wedding day was perfect, just everything we had planned plus more! We had our ceremony and reception at the stunning Sergeants Mess Mosman. We were surrounded by 200 of our closest family and friends who traveled from Ireland, England, Canada, New Zealand and all over Australia to be with us to celebrate our special day.
What did you enjoy most about planning the wedding?
I loved planning our wedding! I was lucky to find amazing vendors who were so friendly and made me feel so relaxed from the day I booked them in! I do love a to do list and that feeling when ticking something of the list! Dan’s favourite part was the menu tasting with our parents. The food at Sergeants Mess was delicious!
Shannon what is something you absolutely love about Daniel?
I love everything about Dan! He is my best friend and I am so lucky to have him as my husband! Dan is so loving, caring and puts me first. He is a hard worker, always busy renovating our home, helping friends/ family with odd jobs and a all round family man.
Marriage is the real deal, the ultimate commitment, can you tell us what marriage means to you?
Marriage to us is to love and support each other through the ups and downs, create amazing memories together and most importantly just love each other and have the best time together!
If you could describe your new marriage in one word what would it be?
